This month is going to be a strange old time as we work through having COVID in our community, and what that means for our day-to-day life (which still ploughs on in some form or another, regardless of what else is happening here or anywhere in the world).
March celebrates neighbours day (all 10 days of it), and is a timely reminder to connect with those around you - even if it is through a note in their letter box. Keep an eye out for people who might need a hand with something, a warm smile, a meal, or some other form of support. We are all in this together, and if you’re unable to help them yourself there may be other people or services which they can be linked into. This issue covers some local as well as online or phone options for support, education and connection.
As the end of the financial year approaches, there are some budget tips on page 4. Jubilee’s Budgeting’s free services are local and there to help you make the most of your finances.
Remember to reach out to others, ask for help anytime you need it. We are social creatures and helping others feels as good as being helped, so keep connected even if for this short next while it is mostly virtually.
