We are a newly formed group of parents and professionals passionate about supporting families in Fiordland. We believe that knowledge is empowering and see the Fiordland Families Network (FFN) newsletter as a great way to connect parents and caregivers with information about family support services and children’s activities in our area.
At this early stage we see ourselves as “cogs in the engine providing families with knowledge on what’s available in Fiordland by profiling local services, community groups and upcoming events. If we can secure funding it is our dream to expand into providing a direct contact for families seeking support services, and to assist research on population demographics so that we can better advocate for the needs of a rapidly growing and culturally diverse community. If we receive sponsorship, we also plan to produce an A-Z Guide of Services for families to make information more easily accessible for locals and visitors.
