Fiordland Families Newsletter Issue 12 - 8-21 August 2019

Welcome to the 12th issue of the newsletter where we focus on winter wellness for ourselves and our families.

By now we have reached a point in the year when it is common to feel as though the winter will never end. Often we have some of the worst weather between the shortest day and October, and it becomes all too easy to let the weather dictate how we feel. So in this issue we take a closer look at mental wellness and well-being, and have interviewed some local experts in Te Anau on how we can keep ourselves mentally and physically well throughout the remainder of winter.

Check out our editorial for some great ideas to create a positive mindset this winter, increase motivation and pump up the vibe in your house on those cold, foggy mornings. We have done our homework this week and collated an impressive list of experts living in our area who can help out with your wellness journey. Check out the directory for some ideas and where to seek help if things are getting too low.

Remember, in order to take care of others, we must take great care of ourselves.
